Music

"Come let us sing for joy to the Lord. Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Come before His presence with thanksgiving and extol Him with the music and song."

Psalm 95:1-2

Music is an active and exciting part in the life of First United Methodist Church, and there is a place for you in our Ministry of Music. Singing in a choir, no matter your age, creates community, and can help each person develop in their spiritual journey. These groups offer fellowship and friendships while creating music for the glory of God. We have offerings for all ages, and welcome you to contribute to our worship. The purpose of the Music Ministry is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through music and song, encourage believers in their walk with Christ, lead the congregation in worship and provide an avenue through which individuals may share their gifts and be an integral part of the worship experience.

Please email our director of music ministries Dr. Caleb Chang if you are interested in singing and/or playing instruments with us for the glory of God.

  • Work to alleviate deprivation and suffering through ministries with the poor, the sick, the oppressed, victims of disaster and with the weak and vulnerable,
  • Support United Methodist missionaries and agencies as well as persons in our local church family who are engaged in mission work. We encourage all to be involved in serving others.
