As of July 29, 2021, our COVID protocols have changed in response to new guidance from the CDC which includes the suggestion to mask indoors in areas of high transmission. Our county is in one of those areas and, unfortunately, our city is among those with the lowest vaccination rates in the county. For this reason, we ask that all persons on the church campus consider wearing a mask when they are indoors in groups, regardless of vaccine status. Of course, unvaccinated persons are still asked to mask up at all times. We’ll continue to have communion out of doors for the foreseeable future.
* Kindness can go a long way in our current culture. If you see someone wearing a mask, don’t make them ask: Mask up. If you are in a small group with someone who is immune compromised, choose collectively to keep your masks on for their sake. We have made tremendous progress. Let’s cross the finish line together.
“Fellow believers, we encourage you to warn those who are out of battle order! Cheer up those who are faint hearted. Stand your ground as a shield in front of those who are weak! Be tolerant with everyone! See to it that no one repays wrongdoing with wrongdoing. Instead,at all times chase after good for one another and for everyone.” 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15, The Source New Testament
