For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.Isaiah 56:7
Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’?Mark 11:17
You are invited.
The doors to the sanctuary will be open from 8:00a.m. — 12 noon. Sunday, March 22, 2020.
First United Methodist Church-Duncanville 403 South Main Street, Duncanville, Texas 75116
“Come and Go” format
It will be a time to come and pray. Meditate. Read your Bible. It will be a “Come and Go” format. Please be mindful of others wanting to come in and pray as well.
The music that our artist-in-residence made, will be playing. (Boeun Kim Lee)
Practice social distancing, 6-8 feet apart
We will adhere to conditions of social distancing. I will recommend 6-8 feet apart. Even couples that arrive, let us adhere to this. Please.
We will not come to socialize or drink coffee. We will have a spirit of reverence. We should take the attitude of silent meditation. This will be a time to get closer with God, Creator of Heaven and earth.
We live in challenging and difficult times. Now, more than ever, we call upon God and our community of faith to be faithful, supportive and respectful. We have no one else. We have God and each other.
Prayer, wherever you are on Sunday
If you wish not to come to the sanctuary at this time, then pray where you are for those that do. If you wish to wear a mask, do so without hesitation. We will adhere to “NO MORE THAN 50” in a gathered community at any given time.
You are welcome to share this with others. Should the need arise, the doors to the sanctuary will remain open longer. A list of prayer concerns will be made available. A box to receive your prayers requests will be there. Any gifts will be graciously received.
