Saturday, September 17th is the fall festival….garage sale, food on the lawn, children’s activities and much more. There will be space for 8 tables for vendors who are members of our church. Two options…a free table if the proceeds from your wares goes to the church…or you may pay $50.00 for a table, donate one of your items to the silent auction and take home your proceeds. If you are interested, please call Betty Dunn at 972-283-3866.
It’s almost here! The Fall Festival Church-wide garage sale. We will be sorting, pricing and displaying our ‘stuff’ beginning Monday (9/12) Monday from 9:00 to about 2:00 in the gym and continuing for the week. Thursday we will work late for those who have day jobs and would like to join in the fun. Please consider helping any or all days. Come early, come often and stay late. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

CASA For Children
CASA (advocates for children in foster care) is in need of new twin bed sheet sets and new pillows. Children are often placed in the homes of relatives who suddenly are in need of bedding for them. CASA Quilters would like to ask our congregation for donations of sheet sets and pillows for this cause. We will be collecting these at both services on September 25th when we have our next quilt display. This congregation responded to this call once before in a wonderful way, and we look forward to another great donation.
Annual Youth Pansy & Kale Sale
ANNUAL YOUTH PANSY & KALE SALE – IT’S FINALLY HERE!
Youth will be selling pansies and kale in the Narthex at both services through October 16.
Proceeds of all sales help to send youth on mission trips, retreats, and summer choir trip.
All orders will be available for pick up on October 22.
First Methodist School – Happy First Day of School!
Tuesday, Sept. 6 was our first day of school and we are thrilled to hear the pitter patter of little feet again! We are currently enrolling for the 2016-2017 school year. If you know a family with a child ages 1-kindergarten, please tell them about First Methodist School! We would love to meet them!
