Applications have been received by the city of Duncanville for PIP (Property Improvement Program), and the process for choosing homes that need help is in progress. Throughout upcoming Sundays, starting on August 5th, we will have a table in the Narthex where you can sign up to volunteer. Opportunity to Serve!
We are still in need of returning AND new volunteers to help serve in our afterschool ministry!
Each Wednesday From 3:30-5:00pm, during the school year.
We meet in Aldersgate, where the children are served a light meal. YOU will help with tutoring and homework assistance.
We need 1-2 adults for Each Grade in order to provide this ministry!
Youth may sign up and serve with an adult as a helper.
Any persons 18 or older must pass a Ministry Safe Background check. PLEASE Sign Up in the Narthex (Foyer).

KIDS FOR CHRIST
Children kindergarten through 6th grade please plan to join us in the Wesley Building beginning this Sunday, September 9 from 4-5:30 PM, as we begin the series “How to Use Your Bible”. We will have a short lesson, play games and have TONS of fun. Friends are always welcome!
CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL
4 Year Olds – 6th Grade Meet UPSTAIRS in the Wesley Building on Sundays at 9:30 AM as we learn with the Deep Blue Kids. Children who are present 7 Sundays between September and the end of November will be awarded a Deep Blue Kids Bible.
CHILDREN IN ACTION (CIA)
Our first CIA of the school year will be Friday, September 14 from 6-10 PM. Children in kindergarten-6th grade are invited to join us for pizza, games, crafts and a service project. The cost is $10 per child with a maximum of $25 per family. Please RSVP to email@example.com by Wednesday, September 12.
First Methodist School – We’re Baaaack!
FMS students and families returned to campus this week. We are so happy to see everyone back at school!
There are a limited number of spots available for the 2018-2019 school year for students ages 1 year – kindergarten. If you know a family with young children, please tell them about our school so they can learn and grow with us!
We look forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary next school year. Mark your calendar for November 2018 when we will have special anniversary celebrations!
