Fall PIP Days
The greatest commandment is Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. The second commandment is Love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37,38)
September 28th, 29th and October 5th, 6th, are the dates for PIP DAYS (Property Improvement Program). 59 volunteers from our church, plus volunteers from First Christian Church, Trinity Methodist, Knights Hands of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Phoenix Lodge # 648, and the City of Duncanville, will work at four Duncanville properties.
We will be trimming bushes, cleaning-up flower beds, trimming and cutting down trees, repairing gutters, patios, fences, and painting.
We will give these homeowners new hope, new pride in their property, and the knowledge that we care about them. All the while, we will share fellowship with each other by making new friends and renewing our relationships with old friends.
The addresses of the homes to be worked on are in Duncanville:
103 Tanglewood Drive, 75116
415 Charlotte Street, 75137
623 East Cherry Street, 75116
2102 Blueridge Drive, 75137
You are invited to drive to the properties and see Love in ACTION!

First Methodist School – First Chapel Service of the New School Year
Children’s Ministry Director, Bridget Maloney, taught the first chapel lesson of the new school year last week! This month’s Bible verse is Proverbs 17:17, “A friend loves at all times.” Ms. Bridget reminded us that we have a friend in Jesus!
There are a limited number of spots available for the 2018-2019 school year for students ages 1 year – kindergarten. If you know a family with young children, please tell them about our school so they can learn and grow with us!
We look forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary next school year. Mark your calendar for November 2018 when we will have special anniversary celebrations!
