Reminders
Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, Wednesday November 27, Chapel (Communion), Hand bells/Choir practice,The Covenant Study Group and the After School Program are NOT meeting, they will resume on Wednesday, December 4th.
In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday the church office will be closed Wednesday, November 27th and Thursday, November 28th (Thanksgiving Day).
We will resume normal office hours on Monday, December 2nd from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Baking Fun!
The children from our After School program enjoyed baking with the volunteers cinnamon streusel loaves. The children happily took their tasteful treat home to share with their family.
National Adoption Day
CASA Quilters recently had the honor of being invited to be a part of the 20th annual National Adoption Day in Dallas.
Each child that was adopted received one of the “Especially Made For You” quilts. It was the first time we had actually been able to meet the children who received our creations and are pleased to share their pictures.
The Davila Family
Like so many others, our story begins with our desire to start a family. Joe and I had been married for 15 years and had tried to start a family for quite some time with no success. We knew that it was time for us to pursue adoption. We had always had adoption in our hearts. We had a list of a few agencies but there was one agency that our friend recommended and it was located in San Antonio and we thought it might work for us but wanted to meet face to face with them…it seemed so difficult to put so much trust into a group of people we didn’t know! So in January of 2010, we set out on a 5-hour road trip to meet with the agency in the hope that this could be the right one to make our dreams come true.
On March 8, 2011 we received a phone call from the agency that our baby girl was born and the birth mother chose us to adopt her baby, Trinity was born at 3 lbs and 13 oz. and was in the NICU for 3 weeks before coming home with us.
August 8, 2011 was our Adoption Day in San Antonio,Texas, the day we finalized the greatest blessing of our life.

Angel Tree
Once again we are sponsoring children from Central Elementary for our Angel Tree. We invite you to adopt an angel and purchase Christmas gifts for that child. Simply choose an Angel from the tree in the Narthex Sunday, December 1st and shop for the child. Bring wrapped gifts back to the Church on or before Sunday, December 15.
Poinsettia Sales Begins
Purchase your poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one in the Narthex on Sundays: December 1, 8 and 15 for $15.00

Plants will be delivered to the sanctuary on December 11 where they will be enjoyed until Christmas Eve.
Plants may be picked up following any of the Christmas Eve services.
United Methodist Men Christmas Caroling
The United Methodist Men (UMM) will be caroling on Monday, December 9 from 6:30-9 PM. All are welcome to join in the festivities! They will be visiting our homebound church members to bring them some Christmas cheer. Please meet at 414 at 6:30 PM if you are interested in being part of the fun!
