On Sunday, May 20th, we celebrated Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit. Gracy Alice Jourden & Caryl Lee Jourden were baptized on this special day. We also celebrated the confirmation of Gracy Jourden & Lilia Zakutney. At the end of service Caryl Jourden joined the church. A lot of joy filled the Sancturay on Sunday morning.
Consecration of Acolytes

June’s Mission Moment will support The Property Improvement Program (PIP), a partnership between The City Of Duncanville and First United Methodist Church Duncanville. PIP Days are scheduled in April and September to repair the
exterior of homes and yards of Duncanville homeowners who cannot make these repairs due to life circumstances.

FAMILY CAMP IN
Reserve your campsite now!
Saturday, June 2
We are hosting a family camp-in for children finishing 6th grade and younger and their families! Space is limited so please contact Bridget@fumcd.com to reserve your spot.
Camp opens at 5 p.m. with a cookout on the deck at 414. We will have hot dogs, chips and s’mores. We will play games and enjoy fellowship with other families. We will set up camp in Aldersgate. Bring a tent or blankets and sheets to set up a fort. When you sign up you will get more packing details. The cost is $10 per family and includes dinner, breakfast and all activities.
The Great Kid Mission Stock Sale
Support our children as they participate in the 2nd annual Great KidMission.
June 29-July 1
Children will be completing projects for area service agencies and visiting local organizations which serve our community. YOU can join the children in mission by purchasing shares of stock May 6, 13, 20, or 27. Stock shares are $20 each. Visit the table in the lobby before or after each worship service for more information and to purchase shares.

First Methodist School Closes Out the 2017-2018 School Year!
This week marks the end of 17-18 school year. We have been blessed by God and encouraged by your support. We are looking forward to a fun-filled summer and to celebrating our 50th anniversary in the 18-19 school year!
We are currently enrolling for SUMMER FUN and the 2017-2018 school year for students ages 1 year – kindergarten. If you know a family with young children, please tell them about our school so they can learn and grow with us!
