Called Church Conference
This past Sunday, a Called Church Conference for the sole purpose of selling a church property occurred. To get to this point in the process, the Board of Trustees and Administrative Council approved the sale. The Metro District Committee on Building and Location approved the sale. What was lastly needed was the Called Church Conference to convene and ultimately vote. The meeting began at 11:40 a.m. and ended at 12:21 p.m. There were many questions asked and answered.
I presided over the meeting, as permission given to me by Reverend Debra Hobbs Mason, our Metro District Superintendent.
Votes: 61 Yes; 10 No; 1 Abstention
Selling Price: $99,000.00
Proceeds from the sale will go towards debt reduction and capital replacement fund for future church needs. As of this writing, Providence Title Company is beginning to bring together all the necessary paperwork and Minutes of meetings to complete this task.
Thanks to all who worked in meetings, discussions and approval to sell this property.
Should you have any questions, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Blessings to all.
