UM Army – Youth Mission Trip
Last week our youth participated in UMArmy where they served 25 clients building 10 wheelchair ramps, 2 fences, painting 2 houses, The Wesleyan Campus Ministry at A&M Commerce, built 2 porches, repaired 1 roof and did yard work at 10 locations.
The students worked hard all day and worshiped every morning and night while also building friendships with each other and their clients.
Please watch the video and see the pictures we are linking to in this newsletter. Thank you for your prayers and monetary support that made this trip possible.
The youth have decided to attend Dr. and Mrs. Lee’s (Boeun) luncheon after worship on Sunday as our activity this week.
Please RSVP to Bridget by noon on Thursday if you plan to attend.
You will also have a chance to sign up for your VBS role and learn more about the youth activities happening AFTER VBS each Friday night.

Collection of Non-Perishable Food for Duncanville Outreach Ministry.
“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10
On four successive days last week, several members of this congregation devoted their mornings to reading with first through fifth-graders as part of the Project Transformation summer program for children in the South Dallas area. They were recruited, scheduled and coordinated by our own Barbra Browder who leads this ministry every year in our church.
Why did they take part in this ministry? It wasn’t for any other reason than for the love of children and for the love of Jesus in God. On Sunday evening, they brought prepared dishes to our church for distribution to project youth leaders where they are being housed at Southern Methodist University fraternity and sorority houses.
Youth leaders commit a summer or a year of their lives to serve and build relationships with children from low-income communities. They live in intentional community and explore a possible call to ministry and service.
Through the power of relationships with local churches and community partners, Project Transformation equips these young people for leadership in the church and the world. It empowers children to achieve their God-given potential, it helps churches be in ministry with their neighbors, and it gives us an opportunity to be Good Stewards of our time.
