Pentecost Sunday was a beautiful service, which was truly filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit . The
scripture reading was Acts 2: 1-21 which was read in six different languages: Spanish, English, Korean, Japanese, German and Italian. (Readers: Pastor Frank Alegria, Boeun Kim, Ayumi Fobbs, Byron Rodenburg and Pastor Steve Sobczak.

UMM Spring Creek Barbeque meeting was Monday night. Men, Food and Fellowship and some peach cobbler as promised by Jerry Bair to any new member joining United Methodist Men.

The Great KidMission
The Great KidMission was an experience to remember for the children of FUMCD. They enjoyed doing 8 service projects, which included gift bags for the Good Life residents, painted joy rocks, made goodie bags for the FUMCD Youth Mission Trip, made s’mores trail mix snack bags for the Duncanville Fire Department and Open Table, made a craft for the Duncanville Police Department, painted crosses for the homebound and made gifts for meals on wheels. The kids also enjoyed playing games,eating sno cones,watched movies and finished off The Great KidMission trip Sunday morning in worship service.

Summer Fun began last week and learning and frivolity is in full swing! Our Summer Fun theme is “Camping Across America” and we are learning about our national parks. Last week we learned about Padre Island National Seashore and our school age students made a beautiful turtle craft using sea shells.
