It’s time to help students at Central Elementary get ready for school!
School supplies and backpacks will be collected in the Sanctuary Foyer on Sunday, July 29, August 5 and August 12.
Here are the supplies we are collecting:
crayons (24 count), pencils, scissors, rulers, index cards, dry erase markers, Kleenex, wide-lined notebook paper, pencil boxes, glue/glue/sticks, highlighters, colored construction paper, manilla construction paper, colored map pencils, black and blue ballpoint pens and backpacks.
Stewardship Covered Dish Meal
PotLuck is almost here! Please join us on Sunday July 29!
Stewardship will provide hamburgers and hot dogs (grilled by the UMM). Bring sides and desserts!
Our them will be Talent and we have a couple of special guests lined up. You won’t want to miss it!

If you are not sure what your talent is, perhaps your talent is one of these:

Worship Arts Camp!
Children who are in Acolyte Ministries and/or who have completed kindergarten-6th Grade are invited to join Bridget Malone and Pastor Steve Sobczak to lear about worship arts!
Camp starts Monday, August 96 and runs through Thursday August 9 from 6-8 p.m. each day.
Where? Harmony Hall
Play instruments, sing and create art for the sanctuary! Participants should plan to lead worship on Sunday, August 12.
The cost is $15 per child, which includes a light meal each night.
Each participant from FUMCD may invite some friends. Space is limited.

First Methodist School – Commotion in the Ocean!
John 21:6 -“He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.”
Last week, FMS students learned all about starfish and Jesus’ miraculous catch of fish on the Sea of Galilee!
We are currently enrolling for SUMMER FUN and the 2017-2018 school year for students ages 1 year – kindergarten. If you know a family with young children, please tell them about our school so they can learn and grow with us! We look forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary next school year. Mark your calendar for November 2018 when we will have special anniversary celebrations!
