The Project Transformation day-camp program has touched many lives for the 21st summer! Our part is to support college-age
interns and prepare/serve a couple of meals.
This year 20 of our folks spent hours reading with children one-on-one, greatly increasing their skill and chances at success in life.
Our three interns were: Maddy Samson and Alberto Marrufo at Elmwood UMC in Dallas and our own David Montequin, who again served in Ft. Worth.
We are thankful for their sharing God’s love by helping children learn, develop and have a good time. Thanks also to all volunteers!

supplies we are collecting: crayons (24 count), pencils, scissors, rulers,
index cards, dry erase markers, Kleenex, Wide-lined notebook paper, pencil boxes, glue/glue sticks, highlighters, colored construction paper, manila construction paper, colored map pencils, black and blue ballpoint pens, and backpacks.
Last week, our Summer Fun students ‘visited’ Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska! Students learned about the Aurora Borealis and made artistic renderings using chalk pastels. In chapel class, they learned about Job 37:5-7 and how God does things that are beyond our understanding like making every snowflake unique.
Open Enrollment for Summer Fun (ages 1 – exiting 5th grade) and the 2019-2020 school year (ages 1 year – kindergarten) is going on now! If you know a family with young children, please tell them about our school so they can learn and grow with us!
Planning has begun for the 2019 Fall Festival Methodist Marketplace, Saturday, October 19th.
There will be 21 vendors selling lots of products in Aldersgate. We have 3 tables left to sell and want to offer these to members of the church before we advertise to others. There are 2 ways to use these tables. One is to sell your items and give all the money to the Fall Festival funds which benefit the church’s mission projects. The other way is to pay a $50 rental fee to vendor and keep the money you make.
If you are interested please contact Joyce Gregory 972-298-0214 or firstname.lastname@example.org
