Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir sang From Sea to Shining Sea at Sunday’s Worship Service. Beautiful joyful noise!
City of Duncanville Fourth of July Parade

FUMCD members Bob Talbot and Buddy Sheppard joined along with their fellow Rotary Club members Cliff Boyd,
Greg Zylka, Dr. Mike Miner and Troy Marcelano for the Fourth of July Parade. Proudly carried their Bob Hughson Award Banner. They were thanked by the crowd for their community service as they passed out flags.
FUMCD Member Participates in Parade
Proud member of our FUMCD Family Trinity Davila joined her Girl Scout Troop 7059 to be part of the Duncanville Fourth of July Parade. They proudly walked carrying their banner for the parade and afterwards they visited Duncanville War Memorial and learned about their community.
What’s the Buzz
Tell us what’s happening in your Sunday School Class or Special Meetings or Events you would like published in NYCU and/or in the Sunday Bulletin.

Summer Fun!

Last week, our Summer Fun students ‘visited’ the Statue of Liberty National Monument! Students learned about the history of the statue and why it is green. In chapel class, they learned how the flag can remind us of God: Red reminds me of Jesus’ blood that was shed when he died on the cross for my sin (Hebrews 9:22); White reminds me that when I give my heart to Jesus, he washes me and I become as “white as snow.” (Isaiah 1:18); Blue reminds me of God’s faithfulness. (1 John 1:9) God is faithful to keep His promises.
Open Enrollment for Summer Fun (ages 1 – exiting 5th grade) and the 2019-2020 school year (ages 1 year – kindergarten) is going on now! If you know a family with young children, please tell them about our school so they can learn and grow with us!
