Together We Can Fight the Flu
FACT: The flu vaccination does not protect people from all strains of the influenza virus. But to help prevent it, it’s important to boost your immune system by eating more vegetables, bundle up when it gets cold, wash your hands, and stay away from anyone with the flu.
FACT: The vaccine, like almost all medications, isn’t immediate. It takes time.

Members of the Seekers Sunday School Class took a yellow ribbon

Welcome to the Orphan’s Tree
Honoring those who are now the founding generation with the loss of their last parent. Roots established in solid ground give strength as the world continues. Live the legacy.
When you lose your last parent, it is a world of loss. At that moment, you become an orphan, and new generation leader. You are now charged with giving strong roots to hold everyone steady when they doubt their own powerful resolutions. There will be times you need to refresh that strength. Come and touch the tree. Let its roots in solid ground remind you of your tenacity, and its branches show you how to bend without breaking. The world continues. True strength is found in being real. Ancestors will always be a part of your heart. Live the legacy.
How do you help others who have become orphans? Tie a ribbon around the tree to remind them they are still enveloped in the love and strength from prior generations. Visible proof that we are all in this together.
FUMCD YOUTH GROUP enjoyed a trip to the Prairie Lights on December 30th , then had some fun during their “lock-in“ at 414.
