Together We Can Fight the Flu
FACT: The flu vaccination does not protect people from all strains of the influenza virus. But to help prevent it, it’s important to boost your immune system by eating more vegetables, bundle up when it gets cold, wash your hands, and stay away from anyone with the flu.
FACT: The vaccine, like almost all medications, isn’t immediate. It takes time.

At our staff meeting Judy Davila brought a King’s Cake to share and in the hope that someone would find the baby Jesus in their slice of cake and be named King or Queen for the day and bring the King’s Cake next Year! I am honored to say that Byron found the baby Jesus nestled in his slice of cake and therefore was named King for the day!
Congratulations King Byron!

Save Our Windows
The Lenten Season SOW (Save Our Windows campaign) specifically addresses our need for funding to resolve issues with our beautiful stained glass windows in the chapel building. Because of diurnal heating and cooling cycles, day-by-day and season-by-season over many years, the windows are badly in need of repair. Adult Sunday school classes are being asked to consider meeting in the chapel for one Sunday during Lent to learn more about the campaign and to have questions answered. To coordinate meeting dates, there will be a Campaign Chapel signup table in the Narthex before and after worship beginning Sunday, March 1st through Sunday, March 22.

A Prayer for Everyday
Loving heavenly Father, we come to you this hour asking for your blessing and help as we are gathered together. We pray for guidance in the matters at hand and ask that you would clearly show us how to conduct our work with a spirit of joy and enthusiasm. Give us the desire to find ways to excel in our work.
