Heifer International is recognized around the world for its effective approach to ending poverty by providing animals and training to people in developing areas so that they can have healthy food and a good income. This year we are aware of a goat farmer in Haiti who lost 87 goats to the hurricane that hit the island. Each goat cost $120.
Will you help us to help him and other farmers and their families feed their children and give them a better future?
Please bring your donations Sunday, February 26th, to either worship service as we support children around the world on this Children’s Sabbath.
Before the first hard freeze in November 2016, a CASA advocate delivered blankets to three children living with their grandmother in a home without heat. The advocate said she slept easier that night knowing the children had the blankets to keep them warm.
This story is just one of many that CASA Quilters hear when they deliver quilts and blankets to the CASA Volunteers. You can see in this picture that crocheters and quilters are busy working to fill this great need. Thanks to Roger Whitehead for taking a break from his embroidery machine to take this picture. Many of the donations are crocheted with acrylic yarn and right now there is a great need for yarn. New and partially used skeins are welcomed. The CASA staff is very appreciative of our donations, and CASA Quilters appreciate the money and cotton, flannel, and fleece fabric donated by members of this church.
August 12, 2017 a medical/construction team will be going to Santigo Panama. For one week, some of the group will be working with Cindy Ceballos seeing patients. Some will be working with David Ceballos on a construction project that he will choose. We have the capacity to take two more volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of this life changing experience, please contact Betty Dunn by February 28th.

We have a few spots available (2 year old, 4 year old, & Kinder classes) for the 2016-2017 school year. If you know a family with young children, please tell them about our school so they can learn and grow with us!
