Keep Calm and Just Say Yes
OPPORTUNITIES TO SAY, “YES!” TO CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Did you know that the more positive relationships children and youth have with adults in the church, the more likely they are to form life-long relationships with a faith community?
Did you know that children and youth who have adult mentors and role models have higher self-esteem?
Did you know that you don’t have to be rich or spend a lot of time to be one of the adults make a difference for children and youth here at FUMCD?
Here are some opportunities to say, “Yes!” to children and youth:
- Help with our elementary fellowship (Kids for Christ) on Sunday afternoons
- Serve as a sponsor for our weekly United Methodist Youth Fellowship (check back next week for fall dates)
- Teach in the elementary Sunday School ministry
- Serve as a substitute in the youth Sunday School ministry
- Tutor children in kindergarten through 4th grade in the Wednesday after school ministry (beginning in September)
