Project 3.7 Has Landed
The Clinic has arrived in Santiago, Panama to the excitement of the Cebellos, the missionaries who received this wonderful blessing from FUMCD.
Many “unexpected” things happened during worship—the first Sunday in the “Unexpected” series. The center section was blocked off and many people had to sit in a different area of the sanctuary. The choir, as you can see, was with the congregation. Don’t miss the opportunity to see what is going to happen this Sunday, August 23.
Backpacks and hundreds of school supply items were donated by the generous people at First Duncanville. These items were delivered to Central on Monday, August 17, prior to school starting on Monday, August 24.
Once again, thank you church.

The Church and People with Disabilities
This study intends to build awareness in the church regarding issues around disability, to call the church to provide full accessibility to services and opportunities, and to promote advocacy for justice for people with disabilities. The study will encourage you to identify ways that your church can do more to open the floodgate to inclusion and equality.

Reception for Betsy Stelzer, Director of Music
All are invited to a reception sponsored by the Staff Parish Committee for Betsy Stelzer, our new Director of Music, on Sunday, August 30, from 10:00-10:45 in the Narthex.
Betsy has moved to a new apartment and some have asked if there is anything that you can do to welcome Betsy. Cards, gift cards from Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, Walmart or any place would be certainly useful.
More importantly, just come by the Narthex and introduce yourself.
Prayers for Healing, Comfort and Strength
Please contact Pastor Frank or Pastor Alex when surgeries are scheduled or someone has been admitted to the hospital.
Welcome to the newest member of our church family, Barbara “Barb” Allen. Barb is the sister of member Kathryn Beard and has become a member of the Chancel Choir.
