Loving Hands Card Ministry Donates to Landscape Fund
Last week the Loving Hands Card Ministry made a generous donation to the Landscape Fund to help in purchasing plants to add to the beauty of our church grounds.
This ministry began with the help of the Endowment Committee for “Seed Funds.” Since the group’s selling of cards, it has given back to the church and other ministries $2,500, by way of Handyman Ministries, Kids Missions, CASA Quilters, Central Elementary and Landscape Fund.
Thank you church for purchasing handmade cards. Your support of this ministry supports other ministries.

Bible Verse of the Week
“When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life'” – John 8:12
Happy Birthday Boeun
At the beginning of worship service on Sunday, Pastor Frank surprised Boeun Kim, in leading the congregation on singing Happy Birthday to her.
Thank you Boeun for all that you do for the church.
Natalie and I both love children, our granddaughters, our neighbors’ little ones… all children in fact.
On a recent stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas with our precious Kaleiyah – the lodge is a great place for extended family fun, by the way – we enjoyed people-watching… parents and grandparents having fun with their little ones. Walking back down the long hallway to our sixth-floor room after a full day, we happened upon another couple. They were herding six or seven happy kids to back their room(s). The kids looked to be as young as three or four and as old as seven or eight. Two of the kids were Black, a couple were
either Mestizo or Asian. The rest were Caucasian, white like the adults.
I spoke with the man asking, “Are all these little ones yours?” “Yes,” he said. “They are now. We couldn’t have children of our own so we just started taking them in.”
Now, I don’t know if this couple is adopting these children or just fostering them temporarily. I didn’t ask. But either way, they are definitely practicing Stewardship, using their God-given gifts, loving hearts and other resources, wisely and generously.
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.” ~ Matthew 18:10

What is Seder?
The Passover Seder is a festive meal, begun at sunset on the evening of the full moon in early Spring.
The Jewish word, Seder, means “order.” God gave specific instructions to Moses for the people to follow. God also commanded.
“This day shall be for you a memorial day and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord; throughout generations you shall observe it as an ordinance forever.”
Please RSVP to email@example.com or sign up in the Narthex

FMS Loves Books!
Last week, our students enjoyed an illustrated lesson about Easter using eggs. Each plastic egg contained a symbol from the Easter story to help them remember Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins.
Open Enrollment for Summer Fun (ages 1 – exiting 5th grade) and the 2019-2020 school year (ages 1 year – kindergarten) is going on now! If you know a family with young children, please tell them about our school so they can learn and grow with us!
