Good Folks, it is Friday, September 20, 2019. There is a 50% chance of rain in our forecast. Praise God!
Our church’s mission is: “Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. And the local church is the greatest venue whereby disciples are made.” Using this as a launching-pad, allow me these few words of thought.
The very word “culture” has a great deal of baggage in our world. In the context appropriate, the word could mean ethnicity, mores, traditions, customs, and/or way-of-life. Some can experience a couple or more of these. In the church, traditions are rich events. What I want you to continue is, How can we help manifest a “Culture of Hospitality, Missions, Generosity, Discipleship and Invitation?” In short, as a church our task is to Reach New Folks, get those same folks to Return to the church, and Recommend the church to your friends, family, neighbors and even strangers that come across our daily lives. The church needs creative folks, thinkers, doers, prayer warriors, and a host of great gifts that will make a difference in your life and others!
You are invited to invite others to the possibilities of what Jesus Christ has in store for all who enter the doors of the church. The church is a gathered community, a weekly family reunion, for the purpose of worshipping God, encouraging one another and welcoming all who come to be part of the Kingdom of God… Then going out to bear witness to the saving grace of God through Jesus Christ.
Blessings from Duncanville,

PS: Needing volunteers for the after-school program on Wednesday’s, 3-5:30PM. You will make a difference in the life of a child.
