He covers the heavens with clouds, prepares rain for the earth, and makes grass grow on the hills. Psalm 147:8
Good Folks, it is Friday, May 20, 2016. It is Betsy Stelzer’s birthday today, so when you see her next time wish her a Happy Birthday.
On the writing of this article, the weather is densely overcast and raining outside. As I parked my car in my normal spot, I noticed something that I do not believe I have ever seen before. With my headlights on the trunk of a Crape Myrtle tree before me some ten feet. With the rain slowly watering the grounds, I see water flowing down the truck of the tree. Somehow, in God’s perfect design, when water hits the leaves on this particular tree, the water collects and flows to the base where it waters and nourishes the tree.
I was reminded of rivers flowing, brooks and streams with water rippling towards its final resting place. Here, I saw a peaceful moment and thanked God: for the rain and the water flowing to nourish what God created.
I have a book entitled, Spotting the Sacred by Bruce Main, with a subtitle, Noticing God in the Most Unlikely Places. (BakerBooks) I am not asking you to consider purchasing the book. I am asking that you take the title of the book to heart and look around where you are and Spot the Sacred.
Have a great day in the Lord.
See you Sunday in church.
Blessings from Duncanville,
