Good Folks, it is Friday, March 9, 2018. This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
I am reminded that God has given us an opportunity to enjoy and rejoice every moment of every day. I have to remind myself that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
This month will have a few changes in staffing. You read the announcement that Terri Ivory will be leaving the church office, while Bobbie Weisinger will be returning to the same office from many years ago. We welcomed Julian Carter to lead our youth ministries. Now, another announcement.
The Staff Parish Relations Committee received a retirement notice from Pat Daniel this week. After 21 years, five Senior Pastors, a host of Associate Pastors and untold number of youth leaders as well, Pat gave notice that she will move to a new season of life for her and her beloved Bob Daniel.
The committee will be posting a job description in various websites. Applications will be sent to email@example.com, with a resume of qualifications. This position has become complex, since we are involved in desktop publishing, website management, publications of high quality bulletins and a host of other needs for the church. I will add that social media awareness and leading the church to be involved in communications locally and globally adds to this complexity. We have a story to tell. This person will be responsible to help the church tell it in so many venues.
There is much more that has not been said about this area of church ministry that happens daily. After 21 years, you learn so much, experience more and see countless publication projects to “tell our story.”
Pray for the SPRC as we launch, once again, to the staffing arena and interviews.
No one picture captures the richness of Pat Daniel; however, with a beautiful smile of welcome, camera in hand and in the midst of a crowd, a memory of the event to share … this is a glimmer of what this position entails. Love you lots, Pat Daniel.
Rejoice with Terri and Pat into their new season of life. Welcome Julian and Bobbie. At the end, Soli Deo Gloria, To God Alone Glory.
Blessings from Duncanville,
PS: This Sunday, I am preaching from Ephesians 2:1-10 at 10:30AM.
