Good Folks, it is Friday, June 22nd.
Today, churches do several creative and intentional things to grow and prosper. We must remember what our church’s mission is about: “Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”
Using this as a launching-pad, allow me these few words of thought. The very word “culture” has a great deal of baggage in our world. In the context appropriate, the word could mean ethnicity, mores, traditions, customs, and/or way-of-life. Some can experience a couple or more of these. In the church, traditions are rich events. What I want you to begin to think and pray about are helping towards a “Culture of Hospitality, Missions, Generosity, Discipleship and Invitation.” In short, as a church our task is also to reach folks that are new to any church, folks that have stopped coming to church for a variety of reasons and welcome them back, or some who simply want to be part of some faith community.
To connect and reconnect to God can be scary. It can also be life-saving, literally.

You are invited to invite others to the possibilities of what Jesus Christ has in store for all who enter the doors of the church. The church is a gathered community, a weekly family reunion, for the purpose of worshipping God, encouraging one another and welcoming all who come to be part of the Kingdom of God.
