I’m sorry that this is late today. Aldersgate is almost done, and the contractors have finished most of their work. That is truly wonderful news, but it also means that it’s now time for us to do the bulk of our work. We have to install our sound system, acoustic paneling, backdrops and many other things. We had to wait until the painting was finished to start all of this, and that time has arrived! I am so thankful for the Trustee Committee with the leadership of Dean Singleton for all they have done to get this project done! We are very close.
I am also thankful that I get to be a part of it all. Some of the things I’m helping with have needed me to do some small building projects. And so I have taken over our garage at home for about a week now. Instead of housing Emma’s car, it is now cluttered with saws, drills, wood, screws, paint, clamps, lights and a nice layer of sawdust everywhere. This was so wonderful and distracting, that I completely forgot about today’s blog!
I haven’t built anything in a while, and these projects have reminded me of how much I love to do this type of work. My skills are all in their infancy and through many mistakes in every project, I learn a little more about how to do different things. I mostly learn what not to do.
I can’t wait for y’all to see Aldersgate once it’s completed. I truly believe that God is preparing a holy space for powerful ministry to occur. Once it’s ready, we will move our 9am Modern worship service into Aldersgate, so be watching for that announcement. Also, don’t forget to come check out ACCESS, our new Sunday evening worship service, starting on April 3rd at 5:30pm in Aldersgate.
I hope you have hobbies and things that you are passionate about, the very things that God intentionally gave you. I had forgotten about this particular passion in my life, and God found a way to renew it for me. I pray that your passions are renewed as well.
Have a wonderful week my friends!
