We live in a world where we are surrounded by injustice, confusion and chaos. In the midst of it all, God intervenes and interjects love, hope and grace. Most of our days are jam packed with events, family obligations, work responsibilities and just the daily grind of life. Most of us live very fast paced lives and moments to pause and process all of this can be few and far between. And yet, these can be some of the most necessary moments if we are to understand God and how God works in this crazy world.
I want to invite you to two such moments. This Sunday morning at the 9am Modern Worship Service I will be preaching from Romans 12, and talking about where God is in the midst of all the violence, injustice and chaos that has happened recently.
The second thing is the new series of classes I’m teaching called Seminary Abridged. This is a series of 12 mini-courses running for the next year. Each one is independent and will cover a different topic of theology, scripture or church history. You can take as many or as few as you’d like! The first class is a 4 week course on Theology 101, and it begins next Monday, August 1st.
You can find more information and register by clicking HERE, calling or visiting the church office or by stopping at our table in the Narthex on Sunday.
I really hope you will join us on Monday as we study who God is and why we should care. I also hope to see you on Sunday at 9am as we worship God together.
Have a wonderful week my friends,
