The Mission Committee would like you to know:
August 12, 2017 a medical/construction team will be going to Santiago, Panama. We have the capacity to take two more volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of this life-changing experience, please contact Betty Dunn TODAY! Today is the last day to register.

Today is Mardi Gras, which means that the holy season of Lent begins tomorrow on Ash Wednesday. I cannot believe that Lent is already here! 2017 is already flying by.
(For those of you participating in Williams Baby Watch 2017, we have no baby news to report yet. However, Sunday is the due date, so keep watching Facebook for our news whenever baby decides she/he is ready to greet us!)
Lent is one of my favorite seasons in the church. As an introvert, I LOVE the idea of a season of prayer, study, and silence. I recently had a free afternoon and caught up on some TED Talks that I had been meaning to watch. I came across a fascinating one about introverts (and how awesome we are, haha!) If you’re interested, you can click HERE to watch Susan Cain’s TED Talk.
I hope you will throw yourself into Lent this year. Whether you love Lent, or if you didn’t even know that it starts tomorrow, I hope you will join us all the same. Lent can refresh your soul and renew your relationship with God in a powerful way if you are willing to make Lenten disciplines a priority.
So, join us! Lent can move your soul. I hope to see everyone at our many church events coming up soon.
Here is the schedule:
Fat Tuesday Fish Fry (TONIGHT!)
February 28 @ 6:30pm in Aldersgate
Ash Wednesday (TOMORROW!)
– March 1 @ 7-8am: Morning Drive-Thru Ashes
(Harmony Hall Parking Lot on Main Street)
– March 1 @ 12-1pm: Come-And-Go Ashes in the Chapel
– March 1 @ 7pm: Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary
We will be studying the Gospel of John during the season of Lent, so come prepared on Sunday by reading the first three chapters of John!
I am also starting a new class on Monday called: “Theodicy: Sin, Evil, and the Afterlife.”
Register in the Narthex on Sunday, or by clicking HERE.
Have a wonderful Mardi Gras, my friends.
Lent begins tomorrow!
