In case you haven’t heard yet, we have been announcing this week that our Sunday evening ACCESS worship service will no longer be meeting after this coming Sunday.
Due to many factors, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the entire ministry of our church to close down ACCESS at the end of the year. ACCESS has been a wonderful success, and we believe it is the sort of thing we should keep trying to do in our future. Change is always a part of a church’s life cycle, and we must continue to innovate to succeed.
We don’t often know how to end things. We struggle with loss, death and unresolved endings. This will not be the case with ACCESS. We will end with grace and we hope that the end of ACCESS will mean the birth of some new ministry.
We believe that taking risks and starting new ministries is necessary and vital to the life of a church. ACCESS was a dream that became a reality because a committed group of leaders stepped up to serve. That is what we need from all of our members; the courage to take chances without being afraid to fail. Maybe you will have the next great idea for our next new ministry!
This Sunday, December 18th @5:30pm will be our final ACCESS service. It will also be a Christmas Eve service for anyone who is traveling over the Christmas weekend. We will sing Silent Night by candlelight, along with many other Christmas Carols, and we will also share in Holy Communion, as we say goodbye to ACCESS together as a family.
We ask you to join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord, and as we say goodbye to this wonderful ministry. It was amazing that so many of you were there to support our launch in April, and we hope you will again join us as we say goodbye.
Have a wonderful week my friends,
