During the last two weeks we’ve been working through a worship series called “Unexpected.” I have to admit that, even though I knew what we were planning to do, I didn’t really know what to expect. I didn’t know how people would respond and I didn’t know if everything would come together the way we planned. This series has greatly exceeded my expectations, and I’ve seen God moving so strongly these past two weeks!
Thank you so much for being open to this series and all of the wacky things we’ve done. It’s really wonderful to be a part of a congregation willing to move out of their comfort zone and meet God in different ways.
We’ve got one more week in the series, and I am very excited about this upcoming Sunday! You’ll have to show up to see what we’re going to do, but it will be worth it. Next month we are going to take a look at the book of James and work our way through that as we move through September. I’m very excited to see how God leads us into the fall through the wisdom of James.
In addition to learning about James, there will be a lot of things happening in the coming weeks and months. All of our programmatic ministries resume for the fall and you are going to be hearing about some wonderful opportunities upcoming in the life of our church.
Romans 8:31 says: “What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?” My friends, God is with us and God is leading us into an incredibly bright and hopeful future. As we close out our “Unexpected” series and move into a study of James, I really hope that you will join us. God has done some powerful things recently in our church and I believe that it is only the beginning.
God is with us and that gives me great hope.
Have a wonderful week my friends,
