2017 is turning out to be a truly momentous year for us. Here are a few things happening in our lives this year:
- Emma got a new job.
- Our son, Henry, was born.
- Emma and I both turn 30.
- I got a new appointment.
- We will be moving to a new house.
- Emma gets commissioned as a Provisional Deacon.
- I get ordained as an Elder in Full Connection.
I’m not sure if there is a major life event that we aren’t encountering this year.
As I think about moving away from this amazing church family, I am overcome with emotions, and I want to say thank you a thousand times for everything y’all have done for our family. But, I will be a mess if I keep saying thank you and goodbye every week for months. So, I will save all of that for June. For now, know that I love you all dearly, and that I will never be able to express how much I love and appreciate this church.
No matter what is happening in my life, whether it seems that everything is changing and life feels chaotic, or if things have remained the same for years, I am encouraged by the same words from Hebrews: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
I pray that you know the steadfast love of God, and that you feel the peace of Christ in your life as we prepare to enter into Holy Week.
Have a wonderful week my friends,
